More than 30 local nonprofits were awarded over $52,000 in grant funding by students through the Youth Philanthropy program this year.
The program provides students at the five Jackson high schools a hands-on learning experience in philanthropy.
It is run through the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, a501c3 nonprofit organization that provides grants to local nonprofits.
It was started in 2005 by a group of students at Jackson Hole Classical Academy.
In 2010, it was expanded to five high schools.
